Hawaiian Pineapple Cake

Ingredients:
For the Cake:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple with juice
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Frosting:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Directions:
Prepare Cake Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Add crushed pineapple with juice, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
Bake: Pour the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Make Frosting: While the cake cools, beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Stir in chopped pecans if desired .
Frost & Serve: Once the cake has completely cooled, spread the frosting evenly over the top. Slice and enjoy!
