Spiced Apple Cider Donut Loaf with a Cinnamon Sugar Crust

Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup apple cider, reduced by half
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan and line with parchment paper.
In a small saucepan, simmer apple cider until it reduces by half (about 10-15 minutes), then let it cool.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
In another bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, reduced apple cider, milk, and applesauce until smooth.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, being careful not to overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the loaf cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove it and brush with melted butter.
In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar for the topping. Generously sprinkle over the buttered loaf.
Let the loaf cool completely before slicing and serving.
